Thomas Adewumi University Hosts NUC Team for Pivotal Provisional License Review

In a significant stride towards academic excellence, Thomas Adewumi University received a distinguished team from the National Universities Commission (NUC) for a pivotal review of its operational license. This evaluation marks a crucial milestone in the University's ongoing journey toward academic distinction.

The NUC team, led by Mallam Haruna Ajo, Director of the Directorate of Public Affairs, was warmly received by the University's management. Accompanying Mallam Haruna Ajo were Mrs. Alussa Balogun, the Deputy Director, Mr. Idris Aminu, and Mrs. Uttah Chinelo, all of whom constitute the esteemed members of the reviewing team. Their primary objective was to conduct a comprehensive assessment of the institutional facilities, faculty, curriculum, and overall progress since TAU's establishment in 2021.

The proceedings commenced with an opening meeting moderated by Dr. Muyiwa Oduwaiye, the Director of Academic Planning. Dr. Oduwaiye extended a warm welcome to all present, particularly acknowledging the esteemed guests from the NUC. He introduced the University management team, including the Pro-Chancellor & Chairman of the Governing Council, Prof. Victor Olanrewaju, and Dr. J.T. Oderinde, a member of the Board of Trustees. Also in attendance were the Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Francisca Oladipo, and other key members of the University management.

Addressing the gathering, Prof. Francisca Oladipo, the Vice-Chancellor, expressed gratitude for the NUC's support and emphasized TAU's commitment to academic excellence. She highlighted the University's growth from three faculties in 2021 to seven faculties presently. Prof. Francisca underscored TAU's self-sustainability and commended the dedication of the staff towards the institution's advancement. She urged the NUC team to view the review as an opportunity to witness the fruition of the seeds planted in 2021.

Responding to the Vice-Chancellor's remarks, Mallam Haruna Ajo reiterated the NUC's commitment to nurturing institutions and pledged to carry out their responsibilities diligently. He expressed appreciation for the hospitality and warm reception received from TAU.

Concluding the opening meeting, the Pro-Chancellor, speaking on behalf of the Founder, extended a warm welcome to the NUC team, expressing gratitude for their continuous support. He wished them well in their assessment endeavors.

The visitation by the NUC team holds immense significance for Thomas Adewumi University as it navigates its path toward academic distinction and operational excellence. The outcome of this review will undoubtedly shape the future trajectory of the institution, reaffirming its commitment to delivering quality education and making a lasting impact in its community and beyond.
