The Vice-Chancellor, on behalf of the Management, Staff and Students of Thomas Adewumi University, Oko, Kwara State, has joined the family and well-wishers in celebrating an icon and philanthropist, Hajia, Maryam Ladi Ibrahim, FCNA on the occasion of her 70th birthday.

The Vice-Chancellor who described the celebrant as a thoroughbred professional who enjoys the respect, admiration, and trust of everyone, prayed for a more beautiful life in good health and happiness for her.

Hajia Ibrahim, is the first female to serve as the Auditor-General of Kogi State, Nigeria and is also a past President and Chairman of Council of the Association of National Accountants of Nigeria (ANAN). She was a delegate to the Nigeria National Conference, and previously served as the Chairman of the Financial Reporting Council of Nigeria (FRC). In pursuit of her passion towards building a caring society, she founded the Rural Women Empowerment and Youth Development Foundation (RWEYDF) where currently develops and implements programs that create opportunities and enabling environment for Women and Youths in the rural areas to harness their potentials and channel this towards personal and societal development.
