TAU, LMU pledge Stronger collaboration as 2nd Substantive VC pays courtesy Visit

Thomas Adewumi University (TAU), Oko, Kwara State paid a courtesy visit to Landmark University (LMU) on Tuesday, 4th of October. Both private learning institutions share geographical proximity in Irepodun local government, Kwara state.

The visitation team was led by the Vice-chancellor, Professor Francisca Oladipo, and principal officers and received by the Vice-chancellor of Landmark University, Professor Charity Aremu, the Registrar, and the Deans among others at the International Exhibition Center.

According to Prof. Francisca, the purpose of the visitation is to strengthen the collaboration both schools have enjoyed. She stressed that since the new administration began following her inauguration as the 2nd substantive Vice-chancellor of TAU, she has deemed it worthy and essential to visit Landmark University. Prof Francisca expressed her happiness for the hospitality and warm embrace the Vice-chancellor of Landmark and the host team displayed.

Prof. Francisca disclosed it is a blessing to share proximity with Landmark University. She acknowledged that Landmark University has always been a model in terms of University ranking. She, therefore, appeals to the Vice-chancellor on behalf of LMU for stronger collaboration and mentorship.

The Vice-chancellor of Landmark, Prof. Charity Aremu while appreciating the Vice-chancellor of Thomas Adewumi University and the visiting team, described Prof Francisca as a “true daughter of the soil”. She disclosed that Landmark university is a world-leading university and its vision is to spearhead an agrarian evolution to solve Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). She commended Engr. Dr. Johnson Bamidele Adewumi and Dr. David Olaniyi Oyedepo; the founders of both private universities for nurturing a great vision by establishing the institutions.

Prof. Charity stressed that Landmark University is ready to commit to strengthening the collaboration with Thomas Adewumi university in the aspects of mentorship, subscription, grantsmanship, and publication networking.
