It is my distinct pleasure to welcome you all to as we kick off our celebration of the 2023 Global Entrepreneurship Week.

Global Entrepreneurship Week is a testament to the transformative power of ideas and the impact that innovative thinking can have on societies worldwide. Today, we come together not only to celebrate entrepreneurship but to inspire, educate, and foster an environment where creativity and enterprise can thrive.

In the realm of academia, we recognize the pivotal role universities play in nurturing the next generation of entrepreneurs and change-makers. At Thomas Adewumi University, we are committed to providing a conducive environment that stimulates curiosity, fosters critical thinking, and encourages our students to explore the limitless possibilities that entrepreneurship offers.

The week is an opportunity for us to engage with global perspectives, share insights, and learn from the experiences of accomplished entrepreneurs and thought leaders. It is a chance for our students, faculty, and the broader community to connect, collaborate, and envision a future where innovation propels us toward greater economic and social prosperity.

Entrepreneurship is not merely a business endeavor; it is a mindset—an approach to problem-solving, a willingness to take risks, and an unwavering commitment to turning dreams into reality. As we embark on this week-long journey of exploration and discovery, let us embrace the spirit of entrepreneurship and challenge ourselves to think beyond conventional boundaries.

I extend my deepest appreciation to our distinguished speakers, panelists, and all participants who have joined us both online and in-person for this Global Entrepreneurship Week. Your presence enriches our discussions, and your experiences will undoubtedly inspire the next generation of trailblazers.

Let us use this week not only to celebrate entrepreneurship but also to reflect on how we, as a university community, can further cultivate and support the entrepreneurial spirit. Together, we can propel our students and future alumni towards success and contribute to a global ecosystem where innovation knows no bounds. To our students, I encourage you to seize the opportunities presented during this week, engage actively with our esteemed speakers, and let your curiosity guide you toward pathways of innovation and entrepreneurship.

May this Global Entrepreneurship Week be a catalyst for new ideas, fruitful collaborations, and a celebration of the indomitable human spirit that drives us to envision, create, and make a lasting impact on the world.

Thank you, and let the festivities of Global Entrepreneurship Week begin!
