TAU Parents Representative Delivered Heartwarming Goodwill Remark at 3rd Matriculation Ceremony

The 3rd Matriculation ceremony at Thomas Adewumi University witnessed an exceptional moment as a representative of TAU Parents, Professor Gbenga Ibileye (Provost of the School of Post Graduate Studies, Federal University Lokoja), took the stage to deliver a heartfelt goodwill remark on behalf of all the parents of TAU students.

Prof. Ibileye captivated the audience with his eloquence and genuine affection for the university. Standing before a sea of proud parents, faculty members, distinguished guests, and the university's newest cohort of students, he began his address by expressing his gratitude and joy for being present at such an awesome occasion. He said, “I acknowledge that this is a celebration of global academic excellence. As proud parents, we celebrate the emerging global academic giant that TAU is poised to become, we also acknowledge and appreciate the Founder/Chancellor (Engr. Dr. Adewumi) and the co-Founder (Dr. Mrs. Gloria Adewumi) for the vision which we, the parents believe as become an eternal touchstone and an icon academic institution for the impartation of knowledge, and for the liberation of men and women for the building of greater shared human destiny”. The parents' representative also thanked the Pro-Chancellor and his team of council members for the development of TAU, the Senate, and faculty members for their great work.

He continued by specially appreciating the Vice Chancellor, Professor Francisca Oladipo, as a self-contained leader, while also addressing the students on the importance of education and expressing gratitude to various stakeholders. He highlighted the compatibility of TAU’s Core values with the essence of Professor Francisca Oladipo. "Today, we gather to celebrate the exceptional leadership of our esteemed Vice-Chancellor. Her qualities align perfectly with the core values of Thomas Adewumi University," Professor Ibileye declared. "However, one thing is missing 'Orente.' Your Vice-Chancellor is a quintessential 'Orente' - she is beautiful, visionary, intelligent, globally recognized, an ICT wizard, and dynamic in orientation. She is forward-looking and global in her vision for this university, our own special export from Federal University Lokoja, and we are immensely proud of the giant achievement she has made in this university”. The audience responded with resounding applause, acknowledging the aptness of the reference and the Vice Chancellor's remarkable qualities.

Following his commendation of the Vice Chancellor, Professor Ibeleye appreciated the guest speaker; Prof. M.S Audu for sharing words of wisdom and guidance with the students. “Your admonishment will undoubtedly shape their journey and inspire them to reach greater heights", he said. " In all, as parents, we thank Thomas Adewumi University for allowing us to benefit from the tradition of academic excellence been established in this academic institution, which certainly is poised to be the quintessential university of the 21st century", he emphasized. Highlighting the significance of the matriculation ceremony, Prof. Ibileye reminded the students of the immense responsibility that lay ahead of them. He encouraged them to make the most of the vast opportunities provided by TAU, urging them to embrace knowledge, expand their horizons, and foster a spirit of excellence.

 Professor Ibileye concluded his speech by summoning the matriculants to appreciate their parents, the Chancellor/Founder, and their lecturers. The parents representative goodwill remark was met with resounding applause and appreciation from the audience, signifying the strong bond between the parents, the university, and the students. The speech set the tone for a joyous and inspiring matriculation ceremony, marking the beginning of a promising chapter in the lives of the newest members of the Thomas Adewumi University family. As the ceremony progressed, the students, filled with a sense of excitement and determination, pledged their commitment to academic excellence, personal development, and upholding the core values of Thomas Adewumi University.
