TAU concludes Second Year Anniversary Week with Thanksgiving Sunday Service

Thomas Adewumi University concluded its week long Anniversary Thanksgiving celebrations with a special Sunday service, bringing together students and some members of staff in a spirit of gratitude and reflection. The Sunday Service, held at the University's Auditorium on 21st May 2023, marked the culmination of a memorable week dedicated to commemorating the University's second year anniversary.

The service commenced with an invocation, led by Pastor Afolabi, invoking blessings and expressing gratitude for the Institution's journey over the years. The University choir, accompanied by a talented orchestra, filled the auditorium with harmonious melodies, uplifting the spirits of the attendees.  Mr. Olakisan from TAICO; our sister institution and the foundational college to Thomas Adewumi University delivered the sermon for the day. Additionally, some 300 level students talked about their first day of resumption to the University.

Dr James Ishola, Dean Faculty of Management and Social Sciences delivered inspiring messages reflecting on the achievements and milestones of the Institution since its establishment. He further emphasized the transformative power of education and the University’s significant contributions to society through research, innovation, and community engagement. He expressed heartfelt gratitude to the entire university community for their unwavering support and dedication. As part of the Sunday service, attendees participated in a collective prayer of thanksgiving, expressing gratitude for the university's achievements, the opportunities it has provided, and the positive impact it has made on countless lives. The atmosphere was filled with an overwhelming sense of pride and appreciation for TAU's contributions to education and society.

Our University's Anniversary Thanksgiving week has reaffirmed its commitment to fostering academic excellence, nurturing future leaders, and positively influencing society. With renewed enthusiasm, we look forward to the next chapter of the journey, guided by the values and principles that have been instrumental in the success thus far. With the conclusion of the anniversary week, TAU looks forward to building upon its strong foundation and continuing to provide a transformative educational experience. We will remain focused on the mission of nurturing individuals who will make a positive impact on society, equipped with the knowledge, skills, and values cultivated within its supportive and inclusive community.
