Clubs and Societies

At Thomas Adewumi University (TAU), we believe that learning extends beyond the classroom. Our vibrant and inclusive campus is home to a wide range of clubs, societies, and student associations that enrich student life, nurture leadership, and promote personal and professional development.

One of our newest and most dynamic additions is the Word Weavers Club, launched by the Department of Languages to foster excellence in public speaking and communication. Inaugurated on May 2, 2025, at the Professor Yusuf Ali Theatre Hall, the club aims to empower both staff and students with essential oratory and presentation skills. The Vice-Chancellor, Professor Fransica Oladipo Onaolapo, who graced the event alongside the Registrar, Mr. Fisoye Kolawole, was honoured as the Patroness of the Club in recognition of her unwavering support. As she rightly stated, “Word Weavers will not only elevate the voices of our students but also refine their character.”

The club will also serve as a platform for grooming event comperes, as members are given the opportunity to co-host major university events, showcasing their talent and professionalism. According to Miss Victory Asonibare, a representative of the club, “The mission of the Word Weavers is to empower students and uphold the excellence of TAU graduates, because here, quality is non-negotiable.”

TAU is also proud to be part of the global Enactus network, a movement that unites students, faculty, and business leaders to create positive social and environmental change through entrepreneurial action. The Enactus TAU team is driven by innovation and sustainability, working on projects that impact the community and empower future change-makers.

In addition to these, our campus hosts a wide range of active professional and departmental associations, including the Nursing Students’ Association, Engineering and Computing Student Chapters, and faith-based fellowships, each playing a vital role in enhancing academic excellence, community service, and student welfare.

Whether you are passionate about leadership, social impact, communication, entrepreneurship, or professional development, there is a place for you at TAU.
