TAU to compensate Admission referrers as Senate holds 2nd Extraordinary meeting

The members of the senate of Thomas Adewumi University (TAU) chaired by the Vice-chancellor, held the second extraordinary meeting at the senate chamber on the Academic affairs of the university.

The Vice-Chancellor, Prof Francisca Oladipo while commending the members of the senate for their sacrifices towards the development of the school, urged the staff of the university to continue with the sacrifices adding that “there is no good deed that goes unrewarded”.

While addressing the senate, Prof. Francisca disclosed that the Chancellor, Engr. Johnson Bamidele Adewumi has approved rebates for the 2022/23 admissions for referrers including #5000 for students of TAU or any other institution, #10,000 staff of TAU & Thomas Adewumi International College (TAICO), and 5% of tuition for parents, organizations and recruiting agents.

The Chancellor has also approved a 20% discount on tuition fees for students of TAICO, 20% per child of staff of TAU and TAICO, 10% Discount on the relation of staff of both institutions and candidates from Oko-irese, 7.5% discount for candidates from Irepodun and Ifelodun Local government and 10% discount on the second and subsequent child of parents with more than a child.
The Vice-Chancellor disclosed that rebates are only applicable after the candidate has registered by paying a minimum of 50% of the tuition fees. She urged members of the Senate, staff, and students to meet with the ICT unit to retrieve their referral code for the rebates. Prof Francisca said that the staff can also leverage the admission referral to upgrade their portfolios as academic recruiters.

As the senate meeting proceeded, Prof Francisca Oladipo charged the Academia to publish papers in the name of the university, promising that early career staff shall be compensated. She commended Engr. Lanre, Mr. Bamisaye, and Dr. Oduwaiye on the successful setup of the library in the proposed faculty of Law.

Other matters discussed in the meeting include the membership requirement of the senate, the proposed establishment of committees under the senate, 2022 strategic planning, and the upcoming 2nd matriculation of the university.
